Cashmere Goat

From the book "A Journey in the Animal Kingdom"

(Kashmir is in the northwestern region of South Asia.
From the Himalayas, cashmere goats migrated to Mongolia,

Tibet, China, and exported to Iran, Afghanistan, Italy, Spain,

Australia, New Zealand, America, etc. The list goes on.)

I was discovered in the Kashmir region
in the 14th century.
Cashmere is an old spelling of Kashmir.
Himalayas is my home.

Biting wind, bitter cold,
I survive by my downy undercoat.
It is soft, warm, the word is out,
plush, durable with lightest weight,
a reason to boast, to be proud.

Humans waste no time.
Cashmere, Cashmere,
cash, cash,
